Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll operations
  • In-depth knowledge of international payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Proficiency with payroll software and systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • At least 5 years Canadian payroll experience
  • An in-depth awareness of the data points required to complete and review accurate payroll globally
  • Experience in automation

Responsibilities

  • Lead a payroll team, or multi country payroll bureau including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • End to end payroll processing
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for international employees, payroll system approvals, bank payment approvals, and ensuring payroll compliance with all local, regional, and international regulations and standards
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to processes and systems
  • Manage internal and external payroll inquiries clearly in terms a non-payroll expert can understand, providing guidance and support to other departments and clients regarding payroll-related issues
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bureau payroll experience
  • EOR and/or PEO experience
