Summary

Join Stripe's Finance & Strategy team as a F&S Partner to revolutionize headcount and operating expense management. Partner with cross-functional teams, including People and Systems, to optimize financial processes. Leverage your financial expertise to influence and transform how headcount operating expenses are managed. This role involves defining, scoping, and managing strategic projects, driving reporting and process improvements, and enhancing efficiencies across the Finance team. You will collaborate with stakeholders, build integrated models, and analyze large datasets to make data-driven decisions. Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in strategic finance or FP&A
  • A keen analytical eye and experience building integrated models from scratch (in Excel or other planning applications)
  • Experience driving and executing on finance processes (e.g. budget, forecast reviews) as well as utilizing tools such as Anaplan
  • A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners
  • A proven ability to be a self starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision
  • The ability to maintain high performance under tight timelines and a β€œroll up your sleeves” mindset to get any job done
  • The ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze problems and data sets to make complex investigation decisions
  • Strong knowledge of GSuite tools, and MS-Office products and experience working with/analyzing large data sets
  • Independently extract, analyze and evaluate information from various data sources through proficiency in SQL
  • Demonstrated experience in data visualization and dashboarding with tools such as Tableau
  • Demonstrated history of taking on various types of challenging projects and producing results
  • Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices
  • Self-disciplined, diligent, proactive and detail oriented

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with F&S partners and leadership to drive successful outcomes
  • Partner with cross functional stakeholders across People, Business Stakeholders and Finance Systems on the overall lifecycle of headcount management
  • Leverage your financial background to support, influence and transform the way headcount operating expenses are managed at Stripe
  • Be a key player in defining, scoping and managing strategic projects and initiatives
  • Drive reporting, process and discipline for finance routines to drive efficiencies across the broader Finance team
  • Drive continuous process improvement, standardization, simplification and reporting enhancements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a high-growth technology or financial services company
  • Experience managing headcount and operating expenses
