Join Skillsoft as a Senior International Tax Analyst to contribute to all aspects of international tax processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial filings. You will prepare international forms for US tax returns, handle local statutory return filings, and assist with the international aspects of tax provisions. This role involves close collaboration with various cross-functional groups, including corporate accounting, treasury, FP&A, and other tax department members. Responsibilities include preparing federal tax compliance filings, coordinating with providers for non-US tax filings, assisting with audits and other tax filings, collaborating on the quarterly and annual tax provision, conducting tax research, and coordinating with other departments. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of US tax experience or public accounting experience, knowledge of ASC 740, proficiency in MS Office Suite, and experience with tax compliance software. Requirements
- 2-5 years of professional US tax experience or public accounting experience with a Bachelorโs degree (CPA and masterโs degree in tax is highly preferred)
- Knowledge of ASC 740 and financial and accounting principles
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and strong Excel skills l including vlookups
- Experience with OneSource or equivalent tax compliance software
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
- Proficient in building and maintaining effective working relationships
- Must be self-sufficient, a great teammate, and work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Responsibilities
- Preparation of the federal tax compliance filings to include 5471, 8858, and 1120-F
- Coordinate with providers to complete tax filings in approximately 20 non-US tax jurisdictions
- Assist with income tax audits and other tax filings
- Collaborate and assist with the quarterly and annual tax provision
- Responsible for conducting research of tax technical and tax accounting issues
- Coordinate and communicate directly with other departments, including but not limited to local and regional controllership, technical accounting, treasury, and FP&A that support the tax reporting process
- Complete additional projects as assigned
