Summary
Join dbt Labs as a Corporate Finance Analyst and contribute to strategic workforce planning, financial modeling, and process improvement. Develop data-driven insights to inform workforce decisions, optimize workforce cost planning, and enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, People, and other business teams. Prepare and present data-driven analyses and dashboards to leadership. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or another quantitative or business-related field
- Excellent attention to detail, with evidence of increasing autonomy in a prior role
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Prior work examples that show your motivation and drive to improve and automate processes and models
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve key workforce planning models β including Stock-based Compensation and Equity Pool usage β that support both short- and long-term strategic goals
- Partner with our Total Rewards team to ensure accuracy, alignment, and completeness of our workforce compensation assumptions
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on headcount, workforce costs (including compensation, benefits, and perks), and organizational design decisions
- Prepare and present clear, concise, and data-driven analyses and dashboards to leadership β as well as support the preparation of our monthly and quarterly reporting to the CFO and Board of Directors
- Leverage BI tools (Tableau, Hex) and our financial planning system (Pigment) to reduce manual work and enhance forecast accuracy in corporate models and reporting
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to support operational efficiency and cost optimization
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience on a Corporate Finance team, with exposure to executive-level and/or Board reporting
- Proficiency with tools such as Tableau, Hex, Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or similar FP&A platforms
- Examples of cross-functional support and partnership with non-finance stakeholders

- The typical starting salary range for this role is: $79,000 -- $95,400 USD
- The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed is: $87,000 -- $106,000 USD
