Summary
Join SmartAsset as a People Business Partner (Limited Term) and contribute to their growth by shaping and executing people strategies that drive performance, enable leadership excellence, and enhance the employee journey. This role involves partnering with leaders to align people strategies with business goals, fostering connection and engagement among employees, coaching managers on leadership and talent development, designing and supporting performance practices, providing guidance during change, and ensuring a culture of trust and transparency. As a key member of the People function, you will be a trusted coach, a data-informed strategist, and a champion of employee engagement and business success.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR/People Business Partner experience, ideally in fast-paced or high-growth settings
- A builder mindsetβyouβre energized by ambiguity and excited to roll up your sleeves
- Demonstrates a hands-on, team first mindset by taking initiative and proactively identifying solutions
- Experience across leadership development, employee engagement, performance, and organizational change
- Strong business acumen and data-savvy decision making
- A consultative, empathetic approach with excellent communication skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to communicate via phone calls and/or video conferences (mainly for concierge and sales roles)
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, aligning people strategies with business goals
- Use data and insights to anticipate needs, drive decisions, and support change across teams
- Lead initiatives that foster connection, inclusion, and engagement
- Own feedback loops and action planning to enhance employee sentiment and culture
- Coach managers and partner on learning, development, and performance strategies that build capability and support career growth
- Design and support performance practices that promote accountability, clarity, and development
- Partner on org design and team effectiveness solutions
- Provide guidance through moments of change and challenge, ensuring a culture of trust, transparency, and psychological safety
