PHP Developer

Summary

Join Yellow Metal, a startup building an asset-backed credit platform for rural India, as a PHP Developer. You will play a key role in developing the back-end infrastructure and ensuring scalable, resilient systems. This position requires 2+ years of back-end development experience, familiarity with cloud providers (like AWS), and proficiency in PHP (Laravel), MySQL, PostgreSQL, Node.js, and Express. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams, make product decisions, and translate user features into system design. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and database technologies like RDS and Aurora. Requirements

• 2+ years experience building backend
• Experience working with managed cloud providers, such as AWS
• Has worked with Mysql, PHP (Laravel), PostgreSQL, Node.js and Express
• Excellent understanding of the JavaScript and Typescript ecosystem
• Past experience working with RDS and/or Aurora
• Ability to choose the right algorithm, data-structure, and design pattern for the given problem statement

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for developing the back-end and setting up of the infrastructure
• Plan, estimate, and own the deliveries of your project
• Design & implement scalable, resilient backend
• Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to deliver the right strategic and tactical goals for the business
• Make product decisions and convert user features into system design and architecture following the best practices of code architecture

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more general programming languages. Ability to learn other coding languages as needed
