Placement Director

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with employers to identify job openings, internships, and externship opportunities
• Organize employer presentations, career fairs, and networking events to connect students with hiring organizations
• Negotiate terms of placements with employers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and student career objectives
• Conduct pre-placement orientation sessions to prepare students for professional conduct, workplace expectations, and effective communication
• Provide individualized career coaching, including resume reviews, interview preparation, and job search strategies
• Monitor student progress and satisfaction through regular communication with both students and employers, addressing challenges as they arise
• Maintain accurate records of student placements, evaluations, and employer feedback
• Generate reports to assess the effectiveness of placement programs and identify areas for improvement
• Organize logistics for placement-related events, including onboarding and post-placement reviews
• Assess student skills, career aspirations, and interests to facilitate appropriate placements
• Manage and update a comprehensive database of job, internship, and externship opportunities
• Coordinate all placement details between students and employers, including schedules, expectations, and required documentation
• Expand externship opportunities through targeted outreach to employers across various industries
• Ensure externship sites meet program standards by conducting evaluations and negotiating program terms
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to align externship experiences with educational goals and learning outcomes
