Planning Manager

Summary

Join Spreetail, a rapidly growing e-commerce company, as a Planning Manager and partner with the Merchant team to optimize in-stock rates and inventory turnover. You will build and manage purchase orders, allocate products to fulfillment centers, collaborate with the vendor management team, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). This role requires in-depth analysis to enhance revenue and profitability. The position is remote, demanding a suitable home workspace setup. Success in this role hinges on strong Excel skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in forecasting and planning systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing & supply chain
• Strong Excel skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong Problem Solving & Analytical Skills
• Experience in forecasting, planning and replenishment systems
• Experience working with both domestic and international merchandise manufacturer vendor base
• This is a remote position and requires candidates to have an available work-from-home setup
• 4th generation or higher, at least Intel i3 or equivalent processor
• At least 4GB RAM
• Windows 10 and above or MAC OSX operating system
• You are required to provide your own dual monitors
• A strong and stable internet connection (A DSL, cable or fiber wired internet service with 10 Mbps plan or higher for primary connection)
• PC Headset
• A high-definition (HD) external or integrated webcam with at least 720p resolution

Responsibilities

• Build and manage purchase orders with our suppliers to achieve company metrics for in-stock rates and inventory turnover. This includes analyzing orders once they are placed, managing the shipments and backorders for those vendors, etc
• Allocate products to the optimal fulfillment centers to facilitate in-stock rates and turnover
• Works with the vendor management team to obtain product information as needed and communicates supplier performance and be responsible for communicating with our vendors regarding placing and managing purchases
• Be responsible for KPIs of the pod - Out of stock rate, Inventory Turn, Obsolete Slow-Moving Inventory, and Sell-Through Rate
• Provide in-depth analysis to identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability from an inventory standpoint.  Able to consolidate large volumes of data - shipments, sales, inventory, etc
