Summary

Join a prominent international contractor as their Plant Manager, leading the management of all equipment, plant, and machinery for a major marine construction project in Mozambique. Oversee all equipment and plant operations, ensuring proper maintenance, servicing, and efficient resource allocation. Supervise site mechanics, liaise with project teams to solve operational issues, and report performance to maintain efficiency. Enforce strict compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards. This role requires a 6/3 rotation at a base camp in a remote project area. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, creative, and safety-driven company delivering complex projects worldwide.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • At least 10 years’ experience as Plant Manager, Workshop Manager, or similar role on large construction projects (marine experience is a plus)
  • Strong mechanical and managerial expertise with proven leadership skills
  • Skilled in planning, maintenance coordination, and the use of maintenance software
  • Service-minded, autonomous, and able to manage teams in challenging environments
  • Willing to live and work in a remote area under a rotation system
  • English Required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all equipment and plant operations to support project delivery
  • Ensure proper maintenance, servicing, fuel management, and field inspections
  • Plan resource allocation, define team responsibilities, and supervise site mechanics
  • Liaise with project management, production, and planning teams to solve operational issues
  • Report performance, equipment needs, and deviations promptly to maintain efficiency
  • Enforce strict compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards on site
  • Maintain clear communication with the Employer and Engineer regarding equipment matters
  • Work on a 6/3 rotation at a base camp in a remote project area (Mozambique)

Preferred Qualifications
