Platform Administrator

Summary

Join Amber Labs, a cutting-edge technology consultancy, as a Linux Platform Administrator. You will manage and maintain the self-hosted ServiceNow platform, ensuring its security, optimization, and efficient operation. Responsibilities include platform monitoring, capacity management, backups, system upgrades, and designing application uptime for cost optimization. This role requires strong Linux OS experience, shell scripting, and familiarity with various technologies. Requirements

• Strong Linux OS experience, including shell scripting, string manipulation, and reporting tools
• Familiarity with packaging, and unpackaging software
• Familiarity with SSL, Java Keystores (BCKS) to create secure HTTPS communications
• Experience of configuring LDAP/SSO brokers, e.g. Keycloak
• Background within a Cloud environment - provision compute - strong knowledge of AWS or Azure
• MOD SC Mandatory

Responsibilities

• Maintain the ServiceNow Self-Hosted Platform which includes monitoring and capacity management
• Ensure snaphosts, backup and clonebacks are completed as appropriate
• Schedule and communicate upgrades of the platform as required
• Design and schedule application uptime to meet cost optimisation goals

• Run create shell scrips, Linux string manipulation
