Platform Engineer

Summary

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable AWS cloud infrastructure
• Optimize cloud costs and implement best practices for cost management
• Familiar with container technologies such as EKS, ECS etc
• Build and managed production container clusters
• Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure efficient and error-free releases
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or other monitoring tools
• Analyze system performance and optimize infrastructure to meet performance and availability requirements
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Ensure infrastructure changes are version-controlled and promote a culture of automation
• Implement security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data encryption
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to identify and resolve issues
• Provide support for production environments, including on-call rotation for incident management
• Stay updated with the latest AWS services and DevOps practices
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve infrastructure, tools, and processes
