Platform Engineer Intern

Join MyFitnessPal's engineering team as a Platform Engineering Intern for a 10-week summer 2025 project impacting millions of users. You'll work with experienced engineers on a cloud-based platform using technologies like Kubernetes and Docker. Requirements

• Be a current, full-time college student with at least one academic term remaining following an internship at MyFitnessPal
• The following students are generally eligible: Undergraduate students graduating between December 2025 and May 2026 (rising Juniors or Seniors)
• Students completing their master’s degree between December 2025 and May 2026
• Full-time MBA students between the 1st and 2nd year of their program
• Intellectual curiosity for solving problems in software systems
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Empathy for our users and other engineers and communicating effectively
• Ability to get things done and share what you learned along the way
• Reliable access to the internet and comfortable in a remote working environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a project while learning something new in an area of your interest and with autonomy
• Be mentored by an experienced engineer through the internship and advance in your career goals
• Show off your work and impact on the entire company at the end of your internship
• Connect, learn, and hear from engineering leaders and executives at MyFitnessPal
• Grow your cloud skills and learn about all the technologies that MFP uses in production

Preferred Qualifications

Technical experience with tools and technologies in our stack is a plus (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Docker, containers, Cilium, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Go, Python, or other related tools and languages)
