Requirements

  • 5+ years post-production experience with 2+ years in team leadership
  • Strong ability to develop editing talent through effective feedback and performance coaching
  • Thorough understanding of social media platforms, content trends, and audience engagement drivers
  • Solid traditional post-production background with experience creating high-quality deliverables for premium platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to research competition, analyze performance data, and develop actionable best practices
  • Commitment to staying current with GenAI advancements and emerging production technologies
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Suite applications
  • Experience creating and implementing training programs based on platform-specific insights
  • Proven track record optimizing workflows for ROI and implementing efficient production solutions
  • Working knowledge of GenAI tools and their integration with post-production processes
  • Excellent communication skills with experience managing remote creative teams
  • Strategic mindset balancing creative quality with business objectives and resource constraints

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of Lead Video Editors and work closely with the Director of Post-Production to implement department standards and process improvements
  • Provide guidance and training to direct reports with the goal of elevating editing performance across client teams
  • Play a crucial role in evaluating, implementing, and training the team on AI-enhanced workflows that improve efficiency while maintaining creative quality and brand integrity
  • Track social media trends, platform algorithms, and competitor strategies while researching emerging GenAI technologies and tools that could enhance production workflows
  • Direct teams producing both rapid-iteration social content and premium deliverables for YouTube and broadcast television as we expand our full-service capabilities
  • Mentor Lead Video Editors across client accounts with strong, actionable feedback that elevates performance and fosters professional growth
  • Evaluate cutting-edge tools, implement promising solutions, and train staff on technologies that streamline production while maintaining creative excellence
  • Translate performance data and competitive analysis into comprehensive department guidelines and educational resources
  • Track editor metrics against campaign outcomes to maximize ROI through data-informed productivity improvements
