Summary

Join Revamp's Technical Innovation team as a Data Engineering Intern for a 12-week full-time summer program (remote or in-office). You will act as an internal consultant, integrating and visualizing data using Power Apps, Power Automate, Zapier, and Power BI. You will optimize SQL queries, explore machine learning opportunities, and perform other assigned duties. This paid internship offers potential for full-time employment after graduation. The program is open to undergraduate or graduate students with a minimum 60 semester hours completed and a 3.2 GPA in a relevant field. A part-time or co-op arrangement may be possible during the Spring/Fall 2024 academic terms.

Requirements

  • Minimum 60 semester hours completed in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Analytics or similar
  • Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program with a minimum GPA of 3.2/4
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of computer science and data engineering concepts and theories
  • Previously demonstrated coursework or internships utilizing SQL and SQL servers for data analysis tasks
  • Familiarity with data visualization programs like Power BI, Spotfire, or Tableau
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Efficient time management – must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving abilities – must be able to diagnose and remediate technical problems, QA/QC, and offer strong recommendations without heavy technical support and work oversite

Responsibilities

  • Act as an internal consultant to other Revamp employees and departments to identify opportunities for data integration and visualization
  • Utilize programs like Power Apps, Power Automate, and Zapier to clean and integrate new data into our warehouse
  • Design Power BI dashboards to create visuals and KPIs
  • Uncover opportunities to optimize SQL data queries and data storage to enhance performance
  • Search for machine learning and other data science opportunities within the current data and processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed

Benefits

  • Hourly-based, paid internship, approximately 40 hours per week during the summer
  • At the completion of the program, the intern may be evaluated and considered for possible future full-time employment upon graduation
  • Twelve-week full-time summer program performed either fully remotely or in-office if local
  • Schedule will be adjusted to accommodate student’s summer vacation
  • A part-time or co-op arrangement may be possible during the Spring/Fall 2024 academic terms
