Performance Engineering Intern

Summary

Join our team as a Performance Engineering Intern and contribute to optimizing battery storage performance. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in analyzing project operations, developing programming and database skills (SQL, Python, SSMS), and building visualization tools (Power BI). You will collaborate with various teams, including Asset Management, Market Operations, and Software Development. The ideal candidate is pursuing an engineering or STEM degree and is passionate about grid resilience and clean energy. This role involves working remotely with up to 10% travel.

Requirements

• Pursuing degree in Engineering or other STEM major with an analytical focus
• Should be eager to learn and motivated by creating a more resilient and cleaner grid
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a small team

Responsibilities

• Learn battery storage operation basics
• Develop programming (SQL, Python) and database (SSMS) skills
• Apply technical knowledge to an operations-focused optimization project
• Build a visualization tool, such as a Power BI report, to show project results at the end of the internship
• All other duties as required
