Preconstruction Specialist in United States

Summary

The Preconstruction Specialist will assist the internal Preconstruction Team and play a vital role in Hanwha Qcells Enable to become the leading solar solution provider in the Americas. They will coordinate with teams, review schedules and budgets, submit contract documents, initiate permitting processes, and provide weekly updates to management. The position is hybrid/remote but requires travel up to 20%. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related field is required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or construction is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with internal EPC departmental teams to advance projects from proposal stage to EPCA and ensure smooth handoff to project management and construction management teams
• Review and maintain schedules for projects in Preconstruction pipeline and monitor progress utilizing project management and scheduling software accurately
• Collaborate with the Engineering, Proposals, & Procurement team to review and maintain budgets and estimates throughout the preconstruction phase
• Initiate permitting processes and communication with local AHJs for project specific permitting requirements
• Review and submit subcontractor scopes of work and vendor agreements for legal and risk assessment
