Pre-Sales Readiness Manager

Summary

The job is for a Pre-Sales Readiness Manager at Starburst, a remote-first company offering a data lake analytics platform. The role involves educating the Field Sales Organization on technical, product, and sales topics, identifying and mitigating knowledge gaps, engaging with multiple teams, and supporting the broader Field Organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience in a pre-sales and/or sales enablement role, including training and facilitation
• Highly organized, self-starter, and driven, able to proactively identify and remedy training gaps for the Field Engineering organization
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into concise and consumable, tangible training materials
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage an ongoing pipeline of new and developing assets
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: data analytics, ETL, data warehousing, data lakes, business intelligence software, data integration, public cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities

• Educate and enable the Field Sales Organization on technical, product, and sales-related topics
• Identify and mitigate knowledge and skill gaps through designing, planning, organizing, scheduling, reporting, and facilitating enablement sessions
• Engage directly with Field Engineering Leadership, Product Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success leadership, and the Education team

Preferred Qualifications

• Learns new concepts and ideas (including technologies) very quickly
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
• Bonus: Familiarity with Force Management, MEDDPICC
