Principal Data Analyst

Summary

Join a 20+ year-old, profitable company as a Principal Data Analyst in a remote role across several states. Provide expert guidance to teams, collaborate on data warehousing strategies, and support the creation of sophisticated analytical models. Requirements include 10+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics, 3+ years in a leadership role, and proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Python, BigQuery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the data engineering and/or analytics field
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of leadership in solving complex data challenges
• Ability to build and maintain data architectures, pipelines, and sets
• Expertise in data mining, data storage, and ETL processes

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level guidance and mentorship to the data team
• Lead the development of advanced analytical models and data infrastructure
• Ensure the implementation of best practices and standards for data strategies, governance, and quality
• Architect and enhance data infrastructure
• Develop and enforce data governance policies
• Explore and recommend cutting-edge tools and technologies to improve data capabilities
• Design and develop sophisticated dashboards and reports using Tableau
• Analyze complex datasets to generate actionable insights
• Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver data solutions
• Manage and lead complex data projects
• Present data insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
