Principal Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer role at Zeta Suite, a Next-Gen Banking Tech company. The role involves developing custom tools, leading design and architecture, coding in Java and microservices, designing Kubernetes operators, implementing best practices, mentoring team, working with product managers, and helping solve business needs with technology.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of relevant work experience
• Hands-on coding in Go Programming Language Or JAVA and microservices domain for complex and critical features
• Deep understanding of OOAD, efficient data structures and algorithms
• Experience in working on Java, Spring, REST, SQL (PostgreSQL or MYSQL) Messaging systems like Kafka etc, ELK stack, microservices is required
• Good understanding of Distributed systems and micro-service based architectures
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts and CNCF ecosystem covering Service meshes, Secret Management, CI/CD etc
• Experience building custom controllers, operators, and custom resources definitions (CRDs) using Kubernetes client libraries
• Prior experience in building products on a Kubernetes Platform
• Experience with CI/CD practices in an Kubernetes environment, Deployment patterns and relevant toolsets
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and agile software development methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud-native ecosystem tools such as Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Istio etc

Responsibilities

• Develop custom tools and integration with existing tools to increase engineering productivity
• Lead Design and Architecture for your product and features & own the complete roadmap
• Hands-on coding in JAVA and microservices domain for complex and critical features
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Kubernetes operators to automate the deployment, scaling, and management of complex applications on Kubernetes clusters
• Implement best practices for coding and design via efficient code reviews
• Driving initiatives for improving services, enhancing user experience and quality
• Mentor team and work towards collaborative efforts for driving projects within organization
• Support engineering teams in the implementation of life-cycle infrastructure solutions and documentation operations in order to meet the engineering departments quality and standards
• Work with Product Managers while interacting with clients and simplify requirements into user stories for team to work upon
• Help solve business needs with technology by evaluating technology options and implementing newer technology stacks
