Process Engineer

Summary

Join Oklo's engineering team as a Process Engineer and contribute to the design, engineering analysis, and operation of fluid and power process systems for advanced fission power plants. You will design process systems, define equipment specifications, build prototypes, generate documentation, and collaborate with vendors. This role requires experience in fluids/process system design and a passion for clean energy. Oklo values creativity, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication. Requirements

• Engineering education, potentially Mechanical, Materials, Petroleum, Aerospace, or Chemical
• Experience performing design or modification engineering on process equipment, such as that used in the petroleum, nuclear, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical industries
• Broad familiarity with engineering principles, and having strong systems engineering and operations intuition

Responsibilities

• Design fluid and process systems including: piping, valves, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers
• Define process equipment architecture, specifications, operational modes, and performance criteria
• Design, assemble, and operate prototypes to use for iterative design refinement
• Generate documentation guiding the system layout, fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of process equipment
• Serve as process system owner through multiple lifecycle stages
• Generate technical documentation to be included in regulatory filings
• Work with external vendors on process equipment analysis, procurement, and testing
• Document work using modern tools and techniques, and compose well-written, thoughtful technical reports
