Procurement Engineer, Electrical Commodity in Worldwide

Summary

The Procurement Engineer will serve as the lead technical representative for the Procurement organization, responsible for performing the purchase process for major equipment and managing key procurement processes. They will also identify and assess new vendors and technologies, maintain a database of current suppliers, and support commercial negotiations with key suppliers.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in solar and/or construction field project at the project size of over $30M in procurement of equipment/material or subcontracting

Responsibilities

• Perform the purchase process for major equipment from RFP to purchase order/contract execution
• Manage key procurement processes in alignment with company's overall strategic goals
• Identify and assess new vendors and emerging technologies
• Administer the RFP process including preparing RFPs, determining bid schedules, coordinating responses to RFIs, reviewing and evaluating supplier proposals, and supporting commercial negotiations for Equipment Supply Agreements
