Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, statistics, or economics (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of product analytics experience (optional: in a product/engineering/tech environment)
- Experience designing experiments, testing, and utilizing statistical principles to inform business decisions
- Proficient in statistical computing and scripting languages such as Python, R, SQL
Responsibilities
- Utilize descriptive statistics to assess product performance, helping the team identify potential causes and solutions when performance metrics show unfavorable trends
- Serve as the end-to-end owner of hypothesis-driven experimentation for your product team, providing thorough analysis and delivering clear, actionable recommendations
- Perform statistical inference to enhance your teamβs understanding of products and users, inferring causality in situations where testing isnβt feasible
- Influence your stakeholders and executives to make better product decisions. Be willing to tell uncomfortable truths
- Become deeply familiar with our product data. Understand the limitations and caveats. Use our data to plan and complete analysis that supports product development
- Propose analyses that the product manager and engineering team havenβt considered yet. Provoke new and deep thinking in the team. Level up their understanding of our product data
- Build clear and compelling data visualizations so stakeholders can analyze product health independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterβs or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, operations research, economics
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in various areas, including probability and statistics theory, causal inference, experimental design and analysis, synthetic control, product ecosystems, and Bayesian inference
- Experience in product analytics with a focus on user acquisition
