Summary

The job description is for a Senior Amplitude Analyst role at Cars Commerce. The role involves overseeing the adoption and health of the Amplitude tool, developing an understanding of how Product Analytics data is structured, collaborating with various teams to create dashboards and insights, and fostering the adoption of Amplitude across the organization.

Requirements

  • 4+ years professional experience working with data and 2+ years of experience utilizing Amplitude on a regular basis
  • Experience with analyzing large datasets and coming up with actionable business insights
  • Experience with digital analytics tools such as Rudderstack, Amplitude or Google Analytics. Experience working with raw clickstream data is a plus (Adobe or Google BigQuery)
  • Strong SQL skills are a must. Experience with statistical analysis and modeling and other technical tools such as R, Python, and visualization softwares such as Looker is a plus
  • Experience with A/B testing is required. Strong A/B testing tool and design knowledge is a plus
  • Evidence of analytical skills, problem solving, business acumen and strong logical thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate analyses to non-technical employees
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-moving environment
  • Builder of strong cross-functional partnerships, collaborative problem solver and leverage data to influence

Responsibilities

  • Foster the adoption of Amplitude across the organization by holding weekly office hours, onboarding and training new employees and answering questions from stakeholders as they arise
  • Analyze data and create company wide dashboards / reports that lead to powerful insights and data-driven decisions
  • Ensure data is being collected accurately and aligns with other internal data points by partnering with Product, BI, Engineering, Data Engineering and Amplitude
  • Manage Amplitude tickets and lead prioritization of new features
  • Create processes to make sure data and visualizations are displaying as intended in addition to ensuring that data assets are universal and understood across the organization
  • Maintain all documentation including tracking plans, release notes, planned features andΒ  data discrepancies
  • Communicate when data issues arise and evangelize new features as they become available
  • Manage relationship with vendor including contract renewal, new feature enhancement requests and company wide trainings
