Requirements

  • Deep understanding of client standards
  • Develop comprehensive System Security Plans (SSPs) in accordance with client Special Publication 800-53
  • Conduct security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented security controls
  • Administrative/Technical Writing Experience in Technical Writing and Documentation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical/problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products
  • Experience documenting requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of client IT Security standards and control
  • Experience developing comprehensive System Security Plans (SSPs) in accordance with client Special Publication 800-53
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for the creation and maintenance of SSPs
  • Experience conducting security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented security controls
  • Developing and maintaining IT Security policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Publication 1075, Social Security Administration Technical security

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system security plans
  • Ensure compliance with client policy, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct thorough security assessments to safeguard the organization's information assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for the creation and maintenance of SSPs
  • Ensure that security controls are properly documented and implemented to mitigate identified risks
  • Conduct security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented security controls
  • Update IT security policies & procedures
  • Participate in audits
  • Assist the team with compliance security & risk assessment
  • Work with the team to remediate findings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Writing
  • Understanding of IRS 1075, SSA security, or other regulatory requirements
  • Experience with creating, maintaining IT policy and procedures
  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • Previous experience providing this service for government
  • Experience with client's environments
