Summary

Join finmid, a platform enabling software businesses to grow their revenue by embedding financial services, as a Product & Business Ops Manager. You will work closely with the first employee on critical initiatives, ranging from developing new product lines to scaling the go-to-market engine. This role offers early exposure to building a high-growth company with high ownership, including working with executives at global platforms and translating strategy into action across sales, product, and operations. You will own strategic initiatives end-to-end, help launch new embedded finance products, support the development of a scalable sales engine, work with platform partners, analyze product performance, and act as a thought partner to the first employee and founders. The position requires 1–3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or startups, strong analytical and communication skills, and a bias for ownership. Finmid offers a flexible work environment, including a home office stipend and 30 days of paid time off.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, venture-backed startups, or high-performance environments
  • Intellectually curious, fast-learning, and thrive on solving complex problems
  • Are hands-on and action-oriented, you’re not afraid to build slides one hour and join a client call the next
  • Are excited by ambiguity and prefer to create structure rather than wait for it
  • Have strong analytical thinking and excellent communication skills (English required, German is a plus)
  • Have a bias for ownership; you treat the business like it's your own

Responsibilities

  • Own strategic initiatives end-to-end: from research and ideation to execution, across product, operations, and GTM
  • Help shape and launch our next wave of embedded finance products
  • Support the buildout of a scalable sales engine and customer onboarding process
  • Work directly with major platform partners to explore, validate, and expand new use cases
  • Analyze product performance and commercial data to surface insights and inform decision-making
  • Be a thought partner to our first employee and work closely with both founders across the business

Benefits

  • We see ourselves as β€œdistributed first” but also have a beautiful office in Berlin where you can work
  • We are flexible and cover whatever you need to be as productive as possible
  • Home office stipend
  • 30 days time off
  • Open-minded and transparent culture that includes regular get-together meetings (e.g., All Hands, Brown Bag Lunch, Offsite)
