Summary
Join Vanta's growing design team as a Product Design Manager and lead the maturation of our Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) product. You will manage and grow a team of designers, ensuring a coherent product across multiple teams. Success in this role requires 10+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years managing design teams, a proven track record of impactful designs, and deep experience partnering with product and engineering. Requirements
- Have 10+ years of product design experience, with deep experience working on complex B2B and B2C SaaS products and 3+ years of successfully building and managing design teams
- Evidence of getting into the details to uphold a high standard of B2B design quality (UX and UI) and craftsmanship in your teamβs work
- Proven track record of producing designs that impact the business β by digging in yourself, leading through others, and influencing internal stakeholders
- Deep experience partnering well with product management and engineering counterparts
- Passion for leading, coaching, and building an inspired team through setting vision, unlocking potential, and driving compassionate accountability. Ability to establish a vibrant, opinionated, and inclusive design culture
- As part of the interview, we require a portfolio that demonstrates work produced by your teams that has impacted the business, and operational practices you have implemented which have led to a higher functioning team
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of designers working across multiple EPD squads
- Bring new capabilities to the Vanta platform that help us better meet the needs of a wide range of customers
- Ensure that our efforts across multiple teams fit together to form a coherent product, from design system details, to workflows, all the way up to mental models
- Coach and mentor a growing team of Product Designers, providing the expertise, direction, and support needed for high performance
- Build a best-in-class team, maintaining high standards for customer experience, design quality, and team cohesion
- Establish strong partnerships with Product and Engineering teams, fostering a sense of joint ownership and effective collaboration, and work cross-functional with partners in GTM
- Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap, working with Engineering and Product partners, and create the design vision for your domain, aligning it with our business strategy, advocating for customer outcomes and world-class user experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep curiosity about AI and cybersecurity
- Prior experience in security is helpful but not required
