Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in product design for mobile apps projects
- At least 2 years of experience in a team lead role
- Strong understanding of design principles, user experience design, and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid knowledge of Figma
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to mentor and coach other designers
- Passion for helping others grow and develop
- Experience with design team development methodologies and tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with hiring processes
Responsibilities
- Leads and Develops Designers: Provides feedback and mentorship, 1:1 meetings, coaching, and encourages skill development to build a strong design team
- Cultivates Positive Team Environment: Creates a supportive atmosphere by fostering communication, setting goals, and advocating for designers
- Optimizes Design Workflow: Integrates UX, UI, and development teams, manages resources, and experiments with new methodologies for efficient and high-quality design
- Bridges Communication Gap: Represents the design team, communicates processes, and gathers feedback to ensure smooth collaboration across departments
- Visual Communication & Design Systems: Develop visually appealing and consistent interfaces that adhere to design principles and style guides
- Collaboration & Communication: Effectively collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, clearly communicate design decisions, and present design work to various audiences
- Process Optimization & Measurement: Track progress, measure success through user feedback and data analysis, and continuously refine the design process for efficiency and effectiveness
