Product Designer

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in designing complex responsive-web applications
• Strong understanding and experience in working with Figma to deliver web/mobile applications
• Ability to unpack the problem space, journey map and generate ideas, in a lean and rapid way. Move from low-fieality to through to high-fieality through wireframing
• A strong interest in UI design, with practical knowledge and experience in applying user-centric design principles
• Experience in developing and maintaining design systems with practical knowledge of atomic design
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive interactions: Create engaging and intuitive UX/UI designs for our flagship product using Figma
• Create clickable prototypes to get a feel for the user experience, and communicate designs to engineers and the broader team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver and ship new features, sharing knowledge and enhancing team collaboration
• Present and rationalise designs, and key milestone deliverables to peers and the leadership team
• Perform qualitative and quantitative research to gain insights into customer engagement
• Use available product data and perform qualitative/quantitative research to gain insights into our customers and make data informed decisions that positively impact the user experience
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
• Self manage and take ownership for all design work within your delivery squad, ensuring required design outcomes and timings are met. With Senior Design Mentor support
• Uphold ethical standards and create a supportive work environment to influence positive change within the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Native app experience
• Curious and highly engaged with the latest product design, mobile app trends, and technology
• An innate drive for continuous learning and improvement
• Ability to prioritise team collaboration, open feedback, and aligning to business goals, over personal pride or attachment to individual ideas
