Summary

Join Esri and become a key member of our software development team, contributing to the design and building of the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automated performance tests, creating tools and scripts for automating test environments, analyzing test results, and communicating findings to development and product management teams. This role requires experience with performance testing, AWS cloud platform, Apache JMeter, Python, Jenkins, and a Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related field. Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained
  • Applicants must also have demonstrated experience with the following: Apache JMeter; Python; Jenkins; and Amazon Web Services
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated tests for performance, durability, scalability, and reliability of the directions and routing services running on AWS cloud platform
  • Create tools and scripts to automate the provisioning of load test environments for routing services in the AWS cloud
  • Analyze test runs for performance anomalies; work with product engineers and development programmers to clearly describe identified anomalies, communicate repeatable steps, provide a reproducible environment, and verify fixes
  • Orchestrate running of the performance tests using Jenkins pipelines
  • Create and maintain dashboards to effectively communicate test results to software development and product management teams
  • Provide guidance about capacity planning and optimal system provisioning to customers who choose to deploy these web services in their own infrastructure
