Remote Product Manager

Join us in our mission to make it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games. As the Product Manager for Safety Platform, you'll drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Discord's safety systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years product management experience or experience building and shipping great software, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines
• Proven track record of shipping products from design to deployment
• Confidence to dive into the technical details and challenge designs or solutions with Platform Engineers and Machine Learning stakeholders
• Comfort in solving complex, systems-problems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work very well cross-functionally

Responsibilities

• Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Safety Platform team
• Cultivate deep empathy with internal customers. Build relationships with cross-functional partners within Safety and across the company
• Define and own performance against key business metrics and proactively report progress against those goals to the relevant stakeholders
• Lead cross-functional execution to deliver incremental value with 8-10 Engineers, Design, Data Science, ML, Legal, Policy, and Operations
• Independently make decisions for your product area, gain buy-in from leadership, and act as a momentum catalyst for your execution team
• Balance day-to-day execution with long-term product vision — you must be comfortable moving quickly to respond to the moving target of abuse on Discord
