Product Manager

Join IO Global, a blockchain engineering company, as a Product Manager focused on enhancing Bitcoin's interaction with the Cardano ecosystem. You will guide the product lifecycle, manage a multifaceted development effort, and ensure a user-friendly experience for a complex technical protocol. Responsibilities include incorporating feature requests, refining the backlog, developing user stories, and managing product releases. Success requires a deep understanding of Bitcoin, Cardano, and decentralized finance.

Requirements

• Have a strong technical understanding of Bitcoin and Cardano, or similar blockchain protocols such as Ethereum or Polkadot
• Have expertise in bridging protocols and blockchain interoperability, with a focus on enabling seamless interaction between ecosystems
• Have a solid grasp of decentralized finance (DeFi), including mechanisms behind decentralized market-making protocols and lending platforms
• Have maturity and solid judgment to engage with senior stakeholders
• Have analytical ability to design and improve processes
• Be curious with growth-mindset
• Be a team player with an ability to build relationships internally and externally
• Have excellent listening skills and high emotional intelligence
• Have strong leadership skills, be resourceful and use initiative

• Keep up to date with the status of competitors from a technical and business perspective
• Have a minimum of five years’ experience in product
• Have experience working with pre-market-fit/nascent products
• Have hands-on experience managing Web3 products, such as decentralized lending platforms or trading applications, with a proven track record of delivery
• Have practical experience working within the Cardano or Bitcoin ecosystems, with familiarity in their technologies and communities
• Have a background in product management for complex technical products, demonstrating the ability to balance technical requirements with user needs and business goals
• Have familiarity with agile frameworks and ways of working
• Have understanding and experience of issue and crisis management
• Have excellent writing and language skills (English)
• Have good technical understanding (experience in blockchain and crypto technologies preferred)
• Have experience in conflict resolution methodologies

Responsibilities

• Guide the product lifecycle from inception to securing its first users, laying the foundation for growth and long-term success
• Lead and manage a multifaceted product development effort that spans multiple organizations and platforms
• Take ownership of the end-user experience for a complex technical protocol, ensuring it is intuitive, accessible, and effective
• Strategically position the product in the market, aligning its features and benefits with user needs and industry trends to maximize its impact
• Coordinate inputs from stakeholders ranging from executives to engineers to end users
• Synthesize data and research into actionable insights that can be easily communicated to a non-technical audience
• Monitor activity and create reports
• Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap
• Refine and prioritize backlog
• Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
• Set sprint goals
• Define acceptance criteria
• Plan releases and upgrades
• Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints
• Analyze preferences and requests of end users
• Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback
• Keep track of industry trends
• Work with product managers, delivery team and tech leadership towards common goals
• Own tactical plan to achieve goals defined in product and company strategy
