Summary
Join NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product Team as a Product Manager specializing in Titles and Metadata. You will manage the entire lifecycle of API products, collaborating with stakeholders to define and deliver features. You will lead grooming sessions, create product documentation, and mentor other product specialists. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Product Management, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
- Minimum 5+ yearsโ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Minimum 5+ yearsโ experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
- Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management, as well as identifying an MVP
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end life cycle of an API product
- Manage feature roadmap, and prioritization of capabilities and features of an API product
- Engage across functions with multiple stakeholders, translate requirements into well documented product features
- Lead grooming sessions to maintain a consistently up-to-date backlog of clearly defined features/stories
- Fully document product features and capabilities in JIRA, ensuring all stories have acceptance criteria that is clear and can be measured
- Collaborate across teams and with architecture and solutions leaders, to identify the best technical solution for a feature or capability that meets the needs of the clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an API and/or Technical Product Owner
- Experience in Film / Television (ideally with knowledge of Production / Post-Production workflows), Media, Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 1+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
- At least 2 years of direct client engagement experience
- Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
- Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative
