Summary
Join Data Ideology as a Product Owner / Business Analyst on a contract basis. This hybrid role blends business analysis with Agile product ownership, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will define business and system requirements, manage backlogs, and ensure successful solution delivery in a SAFe or Agile environment. The role emphasizes process analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and agile delivery, ideal for someone who understands the technical landscape and enjoys solving business problems. This is an entry-level to mid-level position with no supervisory responsibilities. Remote work is available.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or hybrid role
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
- Experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing Agile backlogs
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to translate between technical and business audiences
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Responsibilities
- Act as the Product Owner on one or more Agile teams, representing stakeholder needs and managing the team backlog
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements for system enhancements and new features
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, team standups, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure successful product delivery
- Assist with testing and validation activities, ensuring that deliverables meet defined requirements and business goals
- Continuously refine and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders and Product Managers
- Analyze and improve business processes, helping to streamline operations and enhance the user experience
- Provide support to end-users and technical teams for ongoing system functionality, including issue analysis and troubleshooting
- Maintain system and project documentation, and support training efforts as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus
- SAFe or Agile certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe POPM) is a plus but not required
