Summary

Join Agile Defense as a Business Analyst to facilitate product change within an Agile environment. You will work with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate requirements into user stories and ensure effective communication. Requirements

  • 3-5 Years of Experience working in an Agile and Scrum software development environment performing the duties of Business Analyst
  • Intermediate+ skills in Jira and Confluence
  • Strong aptitude for writing user stories and leading backlog refinement
  • Exceptional documentation and attention to detail
  • Confident facilitator and strong communications skills
  • Must be able to pass the DHS TT5 Trusted Tester certification within first 3 months

Responsibilities

  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment and familiar with Scrum structure and ceremonies
  • Familiar with and experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, Mural, and Teams to communicate requirements, design, processes, and content
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with Product Owners (POs) and stakeholders to understand requirements/scope and be able to translate that into user stories
  • Able to effectively communicate and coordinate between stakeholders, POs, and team members including designers, business analysts, developers, and Scrum Masters across other development teams
  • Able to prepare for and facilitate sprint ceremonies effectively
  • Proactive approach to asking questions to understand gaps, and to help identify and support the best design for product needs
  • Responsible for user stories, spikes, and bugs: create, include details and attachments, labels, tags, testing steps, ensure that stories adhere to definition of done, conduct actual testing of stories, including 508 testing
  • Work to become a subject matter expert for the products that are supported
  • Able to assist with testing/communication/de-bugging with external integration partner system teams
  • After team onboarding, work independently to continue to learn the system and products by reviewing resources and documentation, testing, and engaging with design, development, Product Owner and stakeholders in great detail
  • Obtain DHS TT5 Trusted Tester certification within first 3 months, test stories that impact 508 accessibility
  • Supports technical team as needed
  • Develops and provides training as needed
  • Develop business and functional requirement document

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with Google Tag manager to support tracking and data collection
  • USCIS or DHS Experience
