Requirements
- Completion of four years of college in a relevant discipline and six years of experience in a related field
- 6-8 years of Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Proficient knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and frameworks (e.g., CFPB, FDIC, GDPR, etc.)
- Proven experience in a product owner role within the financial or mortgage servicing industry
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Proficient in using design thinking techniques and tools for product definition
- Familiarity with scrum/agile development techniques and tools
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage the entire product life cycle
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with development teams and stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience at a mortgage servicer and/or financial technology
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge in one or more mortgage servicing domains including but not limited to: general Mortgage Servicing, Compliance, Legal, Escrow, Cash, Delinquency, Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, REO, Loss Analysis, Claims & Servicing Transfers
- Knowledge of a mortgage servicer’s typical technology ecosystem including servicing systems, default systems, workflow management, document repositories, ancillary systems, vendor integrations, data integrations, data warehouses and more
Responsibilities
- Apply a strong theoretical knowledge base to set and achieve goals through independent work
- Demonstrate specific functional expertise, typically gained through formal education and applicable work experience
- Provide technical leadership and guidance as a Lead or individual contributor project manager, leveraging extensive technical expertise
- Work closely with product design & development teams to deliver on product/solution roadmaps
- Apply design thinking techniques, such as user stories, wireframing, and prototyping, to define product features
- Develop the product roadmap based on effort sizing and overall value to the business
- Frequently engage with development teams and business stakeholders for sprint reviews and feedback sessions
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product development goals
- Utilize team scrum/agile development techniques, including continuous delivery and field trials
- Leverage tools for team collaboration, product testing, issue tracking, and backlog management
