Production Manager

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience and a knowledge of every stage of the photo and video production process
• Deep understanding of domestic and international production guidelines including obtaining permits, carnets, divers, fixers, etc
• Deep understanding of organizational and production systems including budgeting, tracking, and invoicing software
• Ability to create and manage spreadsheets to coordinate various projects and to stay on top of contributors/vendors/photographers that we’ve hired on projects
• Knowledge of rights and clearances process with an understanding of legal and publishing guidelines for web, app and social
• Ability to work and problem solve autonomously with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work cross functionally and simultaneously between video, photo, editorial, and sponsored projects
• Incredible organizational and project management skills, maintaining multiple simultaneous projects

Responsibilities

• Oversee budget creation and management for editorial and client-based productions
• Oversee budget actualization and tracking to maintain overall departmental needs in real time
• Execute expense reports for large and small scale projects across a variety of creative disciplines
• Oversee, implement and streamline best practices for freelancer and third party onboarding and payroll
• Track and confirm contracts, rights, clearances, releases and licenses for projects
• Establish and maintain clear expectations and deliverables for on-time execution between production and sales
• Work closely with producers and photo editors at all levels to troubleshoot logistics from pre-post
• Work closely with video/social/photo/sales teams to make sure that projects’ and contributors’ information are updated and current regarding budget and tracking
• Identify and implement production efficiencies, policies, and workflows for internal and external teams
• Liaise with legal team to negotiate and execute deals with third party vendors, talent and partners
• Liaise with finance and sales to establish and maintain ongoing budgets across editorial and sponsored programs
• Liaise with the procurement to onboard freelance contributors and vendors and ensure timely payment
• Liaise with travel team to ensure production needs (i.e.flights, hotels) are met and executed across all ongoing travel
• Liaise with creative internal teams (editorial, photo, social) to streamline and maximize production efforts

Preferred Qualifications

• Rolodex of domestic and international contributors and collaborators
• Understanding of and passion for the travel industry, with the ability to plan and book travel for domestic and international projects
