Program Officer

Summary

The job is for a Program Officer at Equality Now based in Washington, DC or New York. The role involves managing campaigns in North America, predominantly in the USA, contributing to the organization's mission of gender equality, and working across teams to achieve shared goals. The candidate should have knowledge and experience in one or more of the program areas, be a confident networker with existing networks in the US policy space, and possess strong analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication.

Requirements

• A degree in law, international human rights, gender or other relevant discipline OR equivalent experience in gender or human rights advocacy
• Experience in one or more of the program areas
• Demonstrable understanding of systemic gender inequality and its intersections with other systemic exclusions
• Experience in human rights, women’s rights, international advocacy or international law
• Proven experience of building and maintaining networks and partnerships, and facilitating coalitions and movements
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication
