Summary
Join the Raspberry Pi Foundation as a Programme Coordinator in South Africa to expand our reach and impact. Based remotely in South Africa, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern Cape, this 12-month contract (with potential extension) will involve supporting computing education partnerships and programs in schools and communities. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Partnerships Manager, supporting various initiatives such as the Computing Curriculum, educator professional development, and Code Clubs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing projects and communications. Prior experience with Code Clubs or government/NGO partnerships is beneficial but not required. A passion for the Foundation's mission and a willingness to learn are essential.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proven experience in project coordination, preferably within the education or not for profit sectors
- Highly organised with strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software e.g. Slack, Google
- Understanding of the South African education landscape
- Willingness to travel within South Africa with overnight stays when necessary
- A commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, including on diversity, equity, and inclusion
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end support for assigned partners, supporting them to meet their partnership deliverables and outcomes and overcome challenges
- Coordinate partner and project activities and launches including organising training, timeline management and responding to partner queries
- Coordinate the South Africa salesforce and project management boards reporting partner progress and risks, supporting clubs verification and safeguarding checks and recommending process improvements
- Organise internal and external meetings, including scheduling, distribution of agendas and papers, taking minutes and following up on agreed actions
- Organise the logistics of marketing and events material and support partners to provide content for social media and newsletters
- Represent the Foundation's work in South Africa
