Summary
Join CALSTART, a mission-driven organization focused on transportation decarbonization, as a Project Manager to support fleet electrification efforts in the Northeast. You will provide technical assistance and outreach to implement programs like Mass Fleet Advisor and the NYC DOT Clean Trucks Program. This role involves collaborating with industry leaders, state agencies, and fleet operators to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles. The position offers the option of remote work or working from the Brooklyn office. You will contribute to project management, develop outreach strategies, and represent CALSTART at conferences. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of experience in transportation or clean energy, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and 3+ years of project management experience.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working in the transportation or clean energy industry
- Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, engineering, urban planning, or other related fields
- Knowledge of electric vehicles and/or medium and heavy-duty vehicle fleet operations
- 3+ years of project management, planning, or administrative work
- Demonstrated experience working on several priorities simultaneously against deadlines
- Perform job duties during east coast business hours, with occasional (<20%) east coast travel
Responsibilities
- Support the Northeast Regional Office’s work to implement truck and bus electrification programs, including fleet advisory and workforce development efforts
- Collaborate with external project partners including state agencies, consultants, and fleet operators
- Produce clear, concise technical reports and presentation materials
- Contribute to project management including ongoing progress tracking and reporting
- Support the Northeast Region’s pursuit of new business opportunities
- Develop outreach, messaging, and recruitment strategies to accelerate fleet electrification for Northeast vehicle operators
- Represent CALSTART through meeting/conference presentations, webinar presentations, and staffing booths at conferences to promote our work
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in or with electric school buses and/or school districts; or transit agencies/buses
- Experience with electric vehicle deployment or infrastructure installation
- Familiarity with Northeast state energy, environment, and transportation agencies
- Familiarity with government programs and funding opportunities for electric vehicles and infrastructure
- Residence in the Northeast
