Summary
Join Swish Analytics, a sports analytics startup, as a Technical Project Manager to play a key role in building and guiding the next generation of data science products. A competitive salary starting at $110,000 is offered.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
- Possess 3+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on data science and/or data engineering projects
- Have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
- Possess excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Show proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Asana or Jira
- Have hands-on experience with data science tools and technologies, such as Python, SQL, AWS, etc
Responsibilities
- Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and execute on data science & data engineering initiatives, setting strategic direction, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving continuous improvement
- Define and document project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Devise and adapt strategies for executing on necessary goals
- Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated project & communication artifacts
- Manage the data science backlog and prioritize them based on evolving requirements
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Assist in the staffing and assignment of resources based on project needs
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques
