This remote position is for a Project Manager working with a US company, requiring Costa Rican or Colombian citizenship or work permit. As a Project Manager, you will oversee project execution, manage costs and schedules, and coordinate with various teams. You will also develop project management processes and tools, manage customer relations, and support business development. The role demands strong project management skills and experience with electrical power distribution systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of project management or project engineering experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of field service, project management and/or proposal generation experience with electrical power distribution systems
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • Experience with electrical power distribution systems, equipment, installation, and field services

Responsibilities

  • Plan, establish, maintain, and regularly update a project schedule for assigned projects
  • Coordinate with Team Leaders to assign engineering resources and provide performance feedback
  • Monitor, control, forecast, and report costs on assigned projects within estimated project margin
  • Prepare and present project status information for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage engineering response to customer emergencies and warranty issues
  • Establish and manage contracts between Eaton and its customers & suppliers
  • Support PSC Negotiation Application Engineers to develop proposals for new business
  • Take initiative to develop new project management processes, standards, and tools
  • Review customer specifications and bid documents, and issue change orders when necessary
  • Assist with order-entry and hand-off to PSC engineers
  • Contingency planning expertise and knowledge
  • Ability to create, prioritize, and maintain project action item lists
  • Technical coordination between internal team members, Eaton factories, third-party suppliers, and customers
  • Document control and distribution to customers and suppliers
  • Develop and deliver training material within areas of expertise
  • Work evenings or weekends if necessary, to satisfy customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • PMP certified
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with the implementation of automatic transfer schemes
