Summary

Join Tidal Basin as a Florida Certified Property Appraiser! This temporary position involves reviewing Actual Cash Value (ACV) appraisals for residential, commercial, and multi-family properties. You will conduct thorough property evaluations, prepare detailed reports, and utilize quantitative research methods. A strong understanding of real estate markets and financial concepts is crucial. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients and other professionals, ensuring accurate appraisals while staying updated on industry changes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Complete 200 hours of pre-licensing education, including the 100 hours required to become a Registered Trainee Appraiser
• Have at least 1,500 hours of experience working under a certified appraiser

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive property inspections to assess condition, features, and overall value
• Gather and analyze data related to property sales, market trends, and economic factors influencing real estate values
• Prepare detailed financial reports that clearly communicate appraisal findings to clients and stakeholders
• Utilize financial software to assist in data collection and analysis for accurate appraisals
• Apply knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations when relevant to appraisals
• Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other professionals to provide expert advice on real estate valuation
• Stay updated on changes in real estate laws, regulations, and market conditions that may impact appraisal practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Knowledge of LIHTC regulations
