Join Expel as a Proposal Consultant and become the driving force behind our sales success. This high-impact role demands a versatile professional who can craft compelling narratives, implement AI-powered tools, and lead strategic deal discussions. You will own the proposal and RFP program, partnering with revenue teams to advance deals and win business. This position offers high visibility and direct impact on revenue, influencing seven-figure enterprise deals. You will have the autonomy to build and evolve our RFP program and grow your expertise across multiple domains. Requirements
- A strategic generalist β while you may have deep expertise in one area, your real passion is connecting dots others miss
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft narratives that make executives stop and pay attention
- Natural curiosity and an appetite for learning β you see AI not as a threat but as a multiplier for your impact
- Experience implementing and scaling programs in fast-paced B2B SaaS environments
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort using data to tell a story
- The confidence to work autonomously and make decisions independently, while also working cross-functionally across teams
- Energy for variety and ease with ambiguity β you thrive when wearing multiple hats
- 3+ years of proven success in proposals, consulting, sales operations, or similar roles in B2B SaaS (Cybersecurity a plus)
- Experience with RFP platforms (Loopio, RFPIO/Responsive, or similar) and advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
Responsibilities
- Build our RFP program into a world-class operation that drives real sales results through compelling content, efficient processes, and actionable metrics
- Transform technical requirements into clear business value through both written proposals and sophisticated financial models
- Champion the use of AI and automation to deliver personalized, compelling responses at scale while maintaining quality
- Drive continuous improvement by measuring win/loss data, identifying patterns, and turning insights into go-to-market strategy
- Enable sellers and solution architects through training on value articulation and proposal standard processes
