Proposal Technical Solutions Architect

Join our team as a Proposal Technical Solutions Architect, bridging technical expertise and compelling communication to craft winning proposals. You will lead technical solution design, collaborating with SMEs to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges. Responsibilities include proposal writing, ensuring clarity and compliance, and collaborating with various teams. You will need a minimum of three years' experience as a solutions architect or technical lead proposal writer, along with demonstrated knowledge in various technical disciplines. The role offers opportunities for remote or flexible hybrid work environments. This position reports to the Strategic Capture & Proposal team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, communications, business, or English language preferred
• Minimum of three years’ proven success as a solutions architect or technical lead proposal writer
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in technical disciplines including cybersecurity, cloud solutions, data analytics, enterprise IT modernization, software development and integration, network engineering and operations, systems engineering, risk management, and compliance
• Familiarity with business development lifecycle and Shipley processes
• Strong presentation abilities with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking skills, experience facilitating strategy, solutions, and storyboard sessions
• Proven capability to successfully manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
• Strong work ethic, effective time management, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work extended hours/weekends when necessary
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of technical solutions responding to RFP/RFQ requirements, aligning closely with client needs and organizational capabilities
• Collaborate with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to conceptualize and document innovative solutions addressing complex challenges
• Serve as the technical lead during proposal efforts, offering guidance on solution architecture, technology stacks, and integration strategies
• Conduct technical risk assessments and devise appropriate mitigation strategies for proposed solutions
• Potentially participate in government-evaluated oral presentations
• Write, edit, and format the technical volumes of proposals, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with RFP requirements
• Create content clearly communicating complex technical concepts and solutions in an accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders
• Tailor content specifically to client needs, demonstrating a thorough understanding of client challenges and our solution's effectiveness
• Develop Basis of Estimate (BOE) and staffing models based on Performance Work Statement (PWS)/Statement of Work (SOW)
• Participate in proposal strategy sessions, contributing to win themes, value propositions, and key messaging
• Work closely with business development, capture managers, proposal managers, and technical SMEs to gather information essential for proposal development
• Coordinate with graphic designers and proposal managers to ensure visuals complement and enhance proposal content
• Stay informed of industry best practices in proposal writing and technical communication
• Provide recommendations for improving proposal processes, tools, and overall content quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a technical discipline
• Active APMP membership or APMP Certification preferred
