Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in PR, media analysis, communications, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of media channels (traditional and digital), public relations, and corporate communications
  • Experience with media monitoring tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, Brandwatch)
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and social media analytics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Monitor traditional and digital media for coverage related to the company, its competitors, and industry trends
  • Track public sentiment and brand mentions across social media platforms, blogs, forums, and news outlets
  • Compile daily, weekly, or monthly reports on media coverage and PR performance
  • Analyze the performance of PR campaigns and initiatives to measure their effectiveness
  • Provide insights into key metrics such as media reach, sentiment analysis, and audience engagement
  • Collaborate with the PR team to optimize ongoing and future campaigns based on data-driven analysis
  • Conduct competitive analysis by tracking media coverage and public perception of industry peers
  • Identify industry trends, potential threats, and opportunities for the brand
  • Provide benchmarking reports and insights for strategic decision-making
  • Monitor and flag any emerging PR crises or potential negative publicity
  • Work with the communications team to develop data-driven responses to crises
  • Assist in managing and improving the organization’s online reputation and public image
  • Create detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, including PR teams, marketing, and senior management
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data findings to help shape communication strategies
  • Analyze and report on competitors’ media presence and strategies
  • Collaborate closely with PR, social media, and marketing teams to ensure alignment in communication strategies
  • Provide insights to support content creation, press releases, and social media outreach
  • Share findings with external partners or clients (if applicable) to support their communication goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with crisis management and reputation tracking
  • Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing strategies
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
