Public Relations Manager

Summary

Join Blockstream, a leading Bitcoin company, as their Public Relations Manager and lead all external PR activities. You will manage global PR agencies, ensure consistent messaging, and drive media coverage of Blockstream's innovations. This role involves developing and executing the PR strategy, overseeing content creation, and building relationships with journalists and influencers. You will work closely with internal teams to accurately represent Blockstream's work in public communications. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in PR and a proven track record of managing global campaigns. Passion for Bitcoin and blockchain technology is essential.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or related fields
• Proven track record of managing external PR agencies and executing global PR campaigns
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about Bitcoin and blockchain technology

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Blockstream’s PR strategy in partnership with leadership
• Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with global PR agencies and external partners
• Serve as the primary liaison between Blockstream and PR agencies to align priorities and campaigns
• Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and thought leadership content
• Secure media coverage by building relationships with journalists, publications, and influencers in the Bitcoin, fintech, and tech sectors
• Monitor media trends, track coverage, and prepare reports on PR campaign effectiveness
• Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure accurate and compelling representation of Blockstream in public communications

Preferred Qualifications

A strong network of media contacts in technology, finance, and/or cryptocurrency sectors is a plus
