Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • Proven experience in public relations or a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in media monitoring and PR software tools
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with media professionals
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Passion for addressing climate change

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective public relations strategies to boost brand visibility
  • Manage media relations and foster strong relationships with journalists and influencers
  • Write and distribute press releases, announcements, and feature articles
  • Coordinate and manage company events, including press conferences
  • Develop and solidify crisis communications plans and identify and monitor potential risks and areas of vulnerability
  • Provide training and support for all Carbon Direct stakeholders engaging with media
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare detailed reports and analysis
  • Act as a company spokesperson during interactions with the media
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
  • Coordinate social media activity across platforms, showcasing key areas of strategic importance and expertise for the company
