Summary
Join Axon and be a QA Analyst, collaborating with development teams and end-users on test planning and execution. You will work closely with application development teams to understand business requirements and provide QA feedback. The role involves facilitating end-user testing, developing comprehensive test plans, and ensuring adherence to QA standards. You will perform various types of testing, track defects, and contribute to process improvements. Experience with Salesforce and D365 applications is highly preferred. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience. Location is within commutable distance to one of Axon's US-based R&D hubs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test planning and execution
- Strong hands-on experience with manual testing; automation experience is a plus
- Proven ability to engage with both technical teams and non-technical end users
- Experience in testing with ERP and integrations
- Proficiency in testing tools and platforms (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
Responsibilities
- Work closely with application development teams to understand business requirements, technical designs, and workflows
- Participate in design reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective
- Identify potential risks and ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the development process
- Facilitate and assist end users in developing and executing test plans and test cases
- Empathize with the end users to better understand the end to end business process including all manual processes to assist in development and execution of a comprehensive test plan/scenario/cases and scripts
- Provide guidance on testing strategies and best practices to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and end users to address concerns and gather feedback
- Develop end-to-end test planning including execution of test cases, scripts, and scenarios for manual and automated testing
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and facilitate user acceptance testing
- Track, document, and report on testing progress and defects using appropriate tools
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and practices across all stages of the SDLC
- Provide thought leadership on process improvements
- Collaborate with teams to define and improve testing processes
- Participate in root cause analysis of defects to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize testing tools for tracking, reporting, and automation as needed
- Demonstrate proficiency with QA tools and methodologies, including those used in SalesForce and D365 environments
- Stay current with emerging tools and techniques to enhance QA processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Salesforce and D365 applications is highly preferred
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Familiarity with performance testing tools
