QA Automation Engineer

Summary

The job is for a QA Engineer at eyeo, a global ad-filtering technology company. The role involves extending ad filtering capabilities beyond the browser and enhancing user experiences on various platforms. The employee will work remotely or from one of the offices in Berlin, Cologne, Toronto, or NYC.

Requirements

• Intermediate or senior level proficiency with software testing and quality assurance on mobile platforms
• Knowledge of basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of a scripting language, like Python
• Familiarity with device testing services like Firebase test lab, AWS Device Farm, Browserstack or TestObject
• Experience with testing frameworks like Appium, Espresso, Selendroid, Calabash
• Knowledge of the Git version control system
• Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, efficiently achieving results with minimal supervision and without the need for detailed instructions or structured goals
• Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc)
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience maintaining clear, concise documentation for internal processes and system architectures

Join a team of dedicated engineers working to extend ad filtering capabilities beyond the browser, enhancing user experiences on various platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of network protocols (DNS, HTTPS, DHCP, TCP) , proxy servers, VPN, firewall
• Familiarity with common cloud-computing platform components. On AWS, for example, it would be EC², CloudWatch, S3, etc
• Knowledge of additional programming languages
• Experience collaborating as part of a remote team
