QA Engineer

Summary

Join GoFasti, a Talent-as-a-Service company, as a remote QA Engineer based in Latin America. You will design and execute test plans for web-based SaaS features, perform manual and automated testing, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and champion QA best practices. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of QA experience, strong attention to detail, experience testing across various browsers and devices in a SaaS environment, and familiarity with specific technologies (PHP, MySQL, Vue, React, NestJS, NextJS, PostgreSQL, AWS). Experience with testing legacy and modern applications, cloud-native environments, and microservices is a plus. The salary range is $1,000-$1,500 USD per month, and the position is for an independent contractor.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in QA roles (manual testing required; automation experience a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly document test cases and defects
• Experience testing across different browsers and devices in a SaaS environment
• Ability to independently define and drive quality practices in early QA-stage environments
• Experience with Legacy Platform: PHP 7, MySQL 5.7, Vue, React
• Experience with Modern Platform: NestJS (Node.js backend), NextJS (React frontend), PostgreSQL
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (SQS/SNS, ECS, Fargate)
• Experience with Testing Tools (flexible): Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or similar
• Comfort working in a remote, distributed team with asynchronous communication

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for web-based SaaS features, covering both legacy and modern platforms
• Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing across multiple environments
• Identify areas for automation and contribute to the development of automated test suites over time
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and support teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve bugs
• Participate in release readiness checks and provide detailed QA reports and feedback
• Champion QA best practices and integrate quality checks throughout the development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing both legacy (PHP-based) and modern JS applications (NestJS/NextJS)
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments and microservices
• Exposure to AWS infrastructure or testing APIs/services within event-driven architectures
• Hands-on with test automation frameworks or tools (or motivated to learn)
